About Us

Our Story

I’m Mark Benson, and I started Blue Wave Appliance Repair in Pensacola in 2015 when I saw too many local families getting stuck with overpriced repairs or being told they needed to replace perfectly fixable appliances. After spending years working for a national chain, I knew there was a better way to serve the community.
I grew up in Gulf Breeze and watched Pensacola grow into the vibrant city it is today. I started this business in my garage with one service van and a simple promise: show up on time, diagnose the problem honestly, and fix it right the first time.
What began as a one-person operation now serves over 80 properties across the region. We’ve repaired more than 250 refrigerators, fixed countless dryers that families thought were beyond saving, and kept commercial coolers running for local restaurants. Every repair we complete comes from the same place: a genuine commitment to helping our neighbors avoid the cost and hassle of premature appliance replacement.

Where We Serve

Blue Wave Appliance Repair service area covers the greater Pensacola region. We also serve commercial properties throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Our typical response time runs 24 to 48 hours for standard repairs, with same-day emergency service available when you need it most.

What Makes Us Different

Experience That Counts

Our technicians bring over 10 years of hands-on experience to every service call. We work on all major appliance brands, from Whirlpool and GE to high-end models from Sub-Zero and Bosch. This isn’t theory from a manual. It’s real-world problem-solving built from thousands of repairs.

Local Ownership

We live in the same neighborhoods we serve. When you call us, you’re supporting a local business that reinvests in this community. We’re not franchisees sending money to a corporate office in another state.

Transparent Pricing

You’ll know the cost before we start any work. We provide upfront estimates after diagnosing the problem. No hidden fees. No surprise charges when the job is done.

70% First-Visit Fix Rate

Most repair companies need multiple visits to complete a job. We stock our vans with the most common parts for refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens. This means we can often fix your appliance on the first visit, saving you time and the frustration of waiting for parts.

Our Approach to Service

Honest Assessments

Sometimes a repair doesn’t make financial sense. If your appliance is old enough that repair costs approach replacement value, we’ll tell you. We’d rather give you honest advice than make a quick sale on a repair that won’t last.

Clean Work Sites

Our technicians protect your floors, clean up after every job, and treat your home with respect. You shouldn’t have to spend an hour cleaning up after a repair visit.

Quality Parts

We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or equivalent parts that meet factory specifications. Cheap aftermarket parts might save a few dollars upfront, but they fail faster and end up costing more in the long run.

Ongoing Training

Appliances change every year. New technologies, new problems, new solutions. Our team stays current through regular manufacturer training and technical updates.

Commercial Service

Blue Wave Appliance Repair also handles commercial appliance repair for restaurants, hotels, and property management companies throughout the Pensacola area. We’ve serviced over 40 commercial coolers and understand that when your equipment goes down, you’re losing money every hour it stays broken. Our commercial clients get priority scheduling and can arrange preventive maintenance plans to catch problems before they cause shutdowns.

FAQs

Yes, all our appliance repair technicians are fully licensed, insured, and bonded to work in Florida. We carry comprehensive liability insurance to protect your home and property during every service call. Our technicians undergo continuous training to stay current with the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques.

Our diagnostic service call fee covers the trip to your location and the time needed to inspect your appliance and identify the problem. If you choose to proceed with the repair, this fee is typically applied toward the total repair cost. We provide transparent pricing upfront before any work begins, so you’ll never encounter surprise charges.

Yes, we stand behind our work with a comprehensive warranty on both parts and labor. The specific warranty period depends on the type of repair and parts used, but we typically offer 90 days on labor and honor manufacturer warranties on all replacement parts. We want you to have complete confidence in every repair we perform.

We stock many common appliance parts on our service vans, which allows us to complete most repairs during the first visit. For specialized or brand-specific parts, we have relationships with multiple suppliers in the Pensacola area and can typically obtain parts within 1-3 business days. We’ll always communicate realistic timelines before starting any repair.

Scheduling with Blue Wave is easy. You can call us directly during business hours, and we’ll work with you to find a convenient appointment time. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your work schedule and family commitments. When you call, be ready to describe the appliance problem, brand, and model number if available.

For appliance emergencies outside regular business hours, leave us a message with your contact information and details about the problem. We check messages regularly and will contact you first thing the next business day. For refrigerator emergencies, we recommend keeping the door closed as much as possible to maintain temperature until we can arrive.

We repair appliances of all ages throughout Pensacola and surrounding areas. Whether you have a brand-new smart refrigerator or a 20-year-old washing machine that’s been faithfully serving your family, we have the experience to diagnose and fix it. However, I’ll always be honest with you—if your appliance is very old and the repair cost approaches the value of a replacement, I’ll let you know so you can make an informed decision.

While we can often provide general guidance over the phone, most appliance issues require an in-person inspection for accurate diagnosis. Modern appliances have complex systems, and what seems like one problem may actually be caused by something else entirely. Our Pensacola technicians use specialized tools and testing equipment to pinpoint the exact issue and ensure we fix it correctly the first time.
